We are seeking a full-time Mushroom Farm Technician to join our Fort Valley Farm. Hedgehog Foods is a premium mushroom producer supplying high-quality specialty mushrooms to grocery stores and food distributors. This role will include operating production machines, cleaning grow room, following safety procedures, and supporting other parts of the farm as needed. This team member will work under the direction of our Production Manager.

Additional details:

Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Weekend availability is a plus. All work will occur on-site at our farm in Fort Valley, GA. Applicants should be able to commute to the farm consistently on weekdays and weekends. This position is performed primarily outdoors. Candidates must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun exposure. Qualifications Physically capable, able to lift 50lb consistently Able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions Hard-working and excited about mushroom farming/agricultural operations Experience operating production machines, power tools, and heavy machinery is a plus Experience working in agricultural production or manufacturing is a plus Characteristics - do you describe yourself as: Interested and/or excited about working with specialty mushrooms Having a sense of urgency to get things done A proactive and effective communicator Excited by the idea of working for a fast-growing company
