A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain barn sanitation by sweeping floors and using a backpack unit to blow dust from assigned areas.Perform minor maintenance as needed. Maintenance technicians will perform more complex tasks.
Walk the barns numerous times during the work day to check on bird health and remove dead birds.
Ensure feed and water distribution systems working properly and that hens have adequate food, water and air ventilationWill adjust vents and curtains as requiredAssist other House Hands as neededOther duties as assigned by Lead person or
ManagerRequirements:
(knowledge, experience, skills, education)Must follow strict bio-security procedures including shower in and shower out.Must be able to walk for very long periods of timeMust be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and lift up to 5 lb. hensMust be comfortable in bird houses, surrounded by live birds on all sidesMust be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduledMust be able to work in warm environment
