Primarily Monday-Friday Pay:

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Vineyard and Farm Assistant to help care for our vineyards, grounds, equipment, and related properties at Huston Vineyards. We're a family-owned vineyard and winery in Idaho's Snake River Valley. This position offers varied work throughout the seasons—from pruning vines and maintaining irrigation to keeping our grounds welcoming and our equipment ready to work. We're looking for someone who notices what needs attention, takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, and follows through. What you'll do Vineyard work: Assist with pruning, trellis work, shoot and cluster thinning, netting, mowing, and harvest activities.

Irrigation and plant care:

Check irrigation systems, inspect emitters, clean filters, water plants, and monitor ponds.

Grounds maintenance:

Mow lawns, trim shrubs and trees, manage weeds, and keep vineyard, winery, and related property grounds clean and well maintained.

Equipment care:

Operate tractors, utility vehicles, mowers, and other equipment as trained. Perform routine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance.

Property and winery support:

Organize the shop, collect trash, restock wine, and help set up and take down equipment for events.

Seasonal upkeep:

Help with winterization and respond to winter snow-removal needs. Who would be a good fit? You don't have to come from the wine industry. Experience in farming, landscaping, irrigation, property maintenance, or equipment operation can translate well to this position. You'll fit well if you: Show up consistently and communicate clearly. Take pride in finishing work thoroughly. Can follow a work plan and work independently once trained. Notice problems and report them before they become bigger issues. Treat equipment and property with care. Are comfortable with physical outdoor work in changing weather. Are willing to learn and adjust priorities as the season requires. Vineyard experience and practical mechanical skills are especially helpful. Schedule and work environment This is a full-time position planned around 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday . Regular duties are scheduled on weekdays. During winter, occasional weekend or holiday snow-removal callouts are required when snowfall exceeds 2 inches. You'll work with the farm manager using a clear schedule and defined responsibilities. Priorities may shift with weather, vineyard conditions, and seasonal needs. Interested?
