FARM HAND / EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Full-Time Position | Agriculture We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Farm Hand / Equipment Operator to join our agricultural operation. This position is responsible for operating farm equipment, assisting with planting and harvest activities, performing equipment maintenance, and completing a variety of day-to-day farm tasks. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable operating modern agricultural equipment, takes pride in their work, and is willing to work extended hours during busy planting and harvest seasons.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate tractors, combines, grain carts, planters, tillage equipment, and other agricultural machinery Assist with planting, spraying, harvesting, tillage, and other seasonal field operations Operate grain trucks, semis, wagons, and other equipment as needed Load, unload, and transport grain, seed, fertilizer, and other agricultural products Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs on farm equipment Grease, lubricate, fuel, and service equipment as needed Identify mechanical issues and communicate repair needs to management Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and changeovers Perform general farm maintenance and upkeep Assist with grain handling, bin operations, and grain facility maintenance Operate skid steers, loaders, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Assist with livestock or other farm-related duties when needed Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE Maintain accurate records related to equipment, field operations, and production activities Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily assignments Perform additional duties as needed throughout the farming operation

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous farm or agricultural experience preferred Experience operating modern farm equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic equipment maintenance Ability to safely operate tractors and other large agricultural machinery Valid driver's license required CDL is a plus but not required Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull as required Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with limited supervision Good attention to detail and commitment to safety Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during planting and harvest
