Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

U4EA Farms is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Post Harvest Technician to join our growing team, this is a chance to get into the cannabis industry at the ground floor to grow your career as we grow our company. Our company is all about family, friends and flower. You will be responsible for all aspects of post-harvest processing including trimming, packaging, and processing, but working in the flower rooms is also open when there is down time.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the efficient processing and packaging of marijuana flower Perform tasks related to harvest, trimming, sanitation, decontamination, etc. Buck cannabis from stalks, removal of large fan leaves, and removal/process of wasted material Separate and track cannabis buds, trim, stems, and plant material wasted Harvest (including drying and de-stemming) plant material on schedule Communicate any abnormalities (mold, seeds, pests, etc.) found within the product to a manager or supervisor Sanitize and clean workstations and all equipment Adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana being trimmed and packaged, adjusting techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality Harvest and cure plants according to facility protocols Oversee proper drying and curing conditions in preparation for testing and trimming Maintain a clean environment by removing and disposing of all cannabis waste, and cleaning and sanitizing all rooms and tools used on a daily basis
Qualifications:
Trimming Experience a plus Metrc Trained Preferred Cannabis Industry Experience Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Associate degree or certifications a plus Working knowledge of the medical and recreational cannabis industry a plus Ability to take direction and complete tasks timely Ability to build and maintain positive relationships Sound judgment and problem-solving skills Organizational and prioritization skills Must be able to maintain drive and focus through repetitive tasks
Additional Requirements:
Minimum age of 21 Valid state ID Ability to obtain and maintain state agent requirements (background check and state review required)
MA CCC Agent Registration Preferred Reliable Transportation Job Type:
