Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
The Packaging Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging cannabis products while maintaining safety, compliance, and quality standards. This role is the backbone of the production line, executing hands-on work to deliver high-quality, compliant products. The Packaging Technician Lead will perform the packaging of all finished products, including but not limited to flower, preroll, concentrate, vape and edibles based on available inventory, retail needs, and wholesale orders. Under the direction of the Packaging leadership team, the technician will operate equipment, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain cleanliness and compliance within the production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Under the direction of the Packaging department leadership, performs all assigned rotating tasks to expected production levels in a timely fashion with safe and sanitary practices that ensure quality of the finished product. Performs the accurate filling, labelling, and packaging of flower products (pre-rolls, jars and bags with varying weights) including but not limited to grinding, sifting, weighing, or rolling, boxing, labelling, and preparing final boxes for delivery. Performs accurate filling, labelling, and packaging of concentrate/vape and edible products as instructed by Packaging department leadership. Ensure compliance with all sanitation regulations and safety standards throughout production as set by the company standard operating procedures and the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, including the use of PPE. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, performing routine cleaning tasks including general workstation cleanliness during production and participate in daily and weekly cleanup tasks as assigned by packaging department leadership. Monitor and report any issues with equipment, material inconsistencies, unsafe practices or potential contamination to the Packaging department leadership immediately. Practice safe ergonomics, best manufacturing practices, proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and adherence to company safety protocols always. Collaborate with team members and receive instruction from the Packaging Lead, Supervisor and Manager to meet daily and weekly production goals. Uphold state compliance and company regulations during all stages of processing and production. Restock workstation with inventory of materials as needed to prevent workflow disruptions, including but not limited to packaging materials, supplies, consumables, spare parts for equipment etc. and communicate with packaging department leadership if materials are not available. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Basic familiarity with cannabis, or an interest in learning about the process, is strongly preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing, food production, or cannabis facility is preferred, but not required. Prior experience with packaging equipment such as weighing scales is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn state and local cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of Bountiful Farms' products.
KNOWLEDGE
Basic Good Manufacturing Practices

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be 21 years of age or older and comply with all legal or company regulation requirements for working in the industry. Desire to produce high quality products with a passion for cannabis. Reliable transportation. Ability to work weekends and holidays if needed. Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written.

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Regularly scheduled to work 40 hours per week Some weekends and holidays may be required The person in this position will consistently work in an environment with possible exposure to dust (kief), strong cannabis odors (terpenes), and some degree of cleaning product odors. Although systems are in place to mitigate these factors, there is still exposure to some degree. This position may need to seldomly work in an environment with a laboratory setting which includes use of compressed gas, solvent chemicals, cleaning chemicals, mechanical equipment noise and hazardous waste.
