A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

- Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, irrigation systems, and heavy equipment such as forklifts and power tools.
- Assist with animal husbandry tasks, including livestock handling, feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring to ensure animal welfare.
- Perform manual handling duties such as lifting, moving supplies, fencing repairs, and equipment setup to support daily farm operations.
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance using hand tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge to keep machinery in optimal condition.
- Oversee crop cultivation activities including planting, watering, pruning, greenhouse management, and growing experience to promote healthy yields.
- Support irrigation processes and horticultural tasks to optimize plant growth and farm productivity. Experience
- Proven supervising experience or leadership roles within farm or outdoor environments a plus
- Hands-on experience safely operating and maintaining agricultural machinery such as tractors, forklifts, power tools, and irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of animal care practices including livestock handling and animal husbandry techniques.
- Prior outdoor work experience in farming or horticulture settings is highly desirable.
- Experience with greenhouse management or growing crops is a plus.
Pay:
$17.00- $24.
