POSITION SUMMARY

This is a temporary seasonal position and does not guarantee continued employment beyond the harvest season. Tentative employment dates are October 5 through November 10, subject to change based on harvest conditions and weather. Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; however, schedules may vary based on operational needs and weather conditions.

From $20.50/hr Job description: This is a seasonal/temporary job. Experience with harvesting preferred. Outdoor Harvest Technicians will be responsible for the following: Manual/Mechanical Bucking of Plants Clean-up of byproduct and workspace Weighing Biomass Hang Dry of plants Storage of plant biomass according to Waabigwan standards and MN Regulations Employee must be able to lift more than 30lbs. and must be able to carry-out all duties assigned at the Waabigwan outdoor crop. All candidates will be required to get licensed by the Cannabis Commission which will include a criminal background and pre-employment drug test. We do not test for alcohol or cannabis at the time of hire. Standing and walking for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) Repetitive use of hands and wrists Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching Lifting, carrying, and moving up to 30 pounds (or whatever weight is accurate) Working outdoors in varying weather conditions including cold, wind, rain, mud, and uneven terrain Must be able to maintain reliable attendance and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and extended hours as required by harvest conditions and weather. This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Experience:

Outdoor cultivation and harvesting preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills There will be no computer needs for this temporary job.

CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Must be twenty-one (21) years or older. Able to pass background check and drug screening. Able to maintain strict confidentiality. Must fully meet the licensing requirements of the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board and be licensed to dispense medical cannabis according to the rules and regulations promulgated by the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board, in accordance with the White Earth Medicinal Cannabis Code. EEO with Native American Preference. A Drug Free Workplace - Tests for alcohol and illegal drug use may be required prior to and during employment. Background Checks performed.
