Job Summary The technician will work under the direction of the Packaging Manager and Packaging Supervisor, in the packaging department. They will perform under the sub-departments: Flex, GreenVault, KungTech, or Packaging. This position will work a varying schedule to meet production and processing needs of the company. The flex sub-department consists of packaging material from the kitchen and lab teams of concentrated cannabis oils and/ or edibles. The GreenVault sub-department consists of packaging material into mylar or jar, using the GreenVault machine. The KungTech sub-department consists of accurately and precisely weighing preroll material that comes out of the KungTech machine. The packaging sub-department consists of sealing, stickering, and packaging final units. Staff members must be able to lift up to 30 lb and be on your feet for extended periods of time. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following are included; other duties may be assigned: Attends weekly meetings to maintain constant communication, providing feedback and input on any issues that affect the plan and operations. Maintains a clean and organized work site performing daily cleaning activities of assigned work area including daily cleaning and sterilization procedures. Perform multiple tasks in a timely manner and ability to shift priorities and tasks quickly. Assist other office staff in their time of need; maintain a team player attitude Skilled in telephone procedures, etiquette, and diplomacy. Accurately and efficiently operates/calibrates scales. Must be able to work in a setting with constant, strong smells of different flavors, cannabis strains, oils, etc. Attention to detail for accurate counting and efficient label verification. Seal, Sticker, Box final counts for retail/consumers. Effectively package cannabis products for optimal timing and outcomes. Accurately count and basic math usage. Appropriately wear PPE, Personal Protective Equipment. Weight Variance, knowing the correct weights per task, under or over packing. Accurately and efficiently operate hand tools and equipment to produce final units for consumers. Observes and monitors flower material to ensure that the company's high-quality standards are maintained. Knowledge & Skills Language Skills Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations/Requirements Must be twenty-one (21) years or older. Able to pass background check and drug screening. Able to maintain strict confidentiality. Must fully meet the licensing requirements of the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board and be licensed to dispense medical cannabis according to the rules and regulations promulgated by the White Earth Medical Cannabis Control Board, in accordance with the White Earth Medicinal Cannabis Code.
