Job Description

Overview Rost Landscaping, Inc. is a diversified landscaping company centrally located in Columbia, MO specializing in landscape design and construction, irrigation, retail and wholesale locations, and landscape maintenance. Our irrigation division, Rost Superior Irrigation, is seeking an Irrigation Service Technician who is a self- motivated team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Irrigation Service Technician is responsible for a range of duties within the irrigation division that encompass hands-on maintenance of irrigation systems and providing superb customer service. Responsibilities Collaborate with technician team to complete seasonal start-ups and winterization of irrigation systems. Provide professional customer service, troubleshooting issues and educating clients on their individual system controls as needed. Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, including time spent at each job and materials used. Assist irrigation division manager with keeping warehouse materials in stock and organized. Keep accurate records of irrigation inventories and assist in supplies ordering as needed. Rotate with other service technicians to ensure that someone is on-call on nights and weekends (additional pay may be provided as applicable). Assist the irrigation install department as needed to ensure jobs are completed in according to plan. Assist the division manager in setting and maintaining sod programs on new sod. Participate in regular training to ensure that the division is staying on the cutting edge of irrigation technology. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, transportation, and professionalism. Other duties as assigned. Install new irrigation systems, including automated control units, ensuring precise setup and optimal performance Perform routine irrigation maintenance to keep systems functioning smoothly and efficiently Qualifications Strong mechanical background is required, prior irrigation experience is preferred. Backflow Test Certified required by spring 2027. Class E Driver's License or ability to obtain one - must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check (MVR). Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic proficiency in operating computers, including Microsoft Office. Ability to speak Spanish is ideal, but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Pay is based on experience. Pre-employment drug testing is required. A service truck is provided during working hours.
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
