Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Farm and Property Caretaker to assist in the daily operations and maintenance of a growing rural property. This role involves caring for various farm animals, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the property remains safe, secure, functional, and well-kept. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery and farm equipment such as tractors, forklifts, lawn mowers, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on equipment Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, and overall upkeep of entire property Carpentry projects Pool maintenance Ensure all buildings are in proper working order and maintain an orderly appearance Assist with animal care Assist with outdoor work as needed Ongoing communication with management and team members Requirements Hands-on experience operating machinery such as tractors, forklifts, skid steers, or other heavy equipment Animal care experience Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards Outdoor work experience in varying weather conditions; comfort working in rural or farm environments Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining records Strong communication skills We are a small, family-oriented team that values proactive individuals who are eager to contribute their expertise in machinery, property and animal care, while enjoying a rewarding outdoor work environment.
