A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

Description Eliada is seeking motivated and dependable Farm Interns interested in gaining hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, horticulture, and nonprofit work. Interns will work alongside Eliada staff to maintain the farm and greenhouses while learning practical skills in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Previous farming or gardening experience is required. We are looking for people who are comfortable working with plants or in greenhouses.
What You'll Do:
Depending on the season and farm needs, interns may:
  • Plant, water, weed, maintain, and harvest crops
  • Prepare garden beds and assist with soil health
  • Help with farm and garden maintenance
  • Assist with harvesting produce
  • Use and maintain basic hand tools safely
  • Support seasonal farm projects and volunteer workdays
  • Assist with educational or community activities connected to the farm
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

  • Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work.
Able to lift and carry 50lbs.
Schedule:
Start and end dates are flexible and will be determined based on the intern's availability, school requirements, and Eliada's seasonal farm needs.
