ABOUT THE ROLE
Experienced Irrigation Technician? Join Our Team! We're looking for an experienced Irrigation Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, maintain, and install commercial irrigation systems while helping our customers keep their landscapes healthy and operating efficiently. If you enjoy troubleshooting irrigation systems, working independently, and taking pride in quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accurately analyze and diagnose problems related to commercial irrigation systems. Prioritize, schedule, and perform irrigation service work, including inspections, start-ups, winterizations, repairs, and system adjustments. Diagnose and repair irrigation system failures, including valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, wiring, pipe breaks, and leaks. Program, troubleshoot, and adjust irrigation controllers. Install irrigation systems and components as needed. Communicate professionally with customers regarding system performance, repairs, and recommendations. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle. Plan and complete daily routes efficiently. Maintain a working knowledge of turfgrass, ornamental plant materials, and their irrigation requirements. Develop and maintain expertise in commercial irrigation systems. Identify opportunities for additional irrigation repairs or system improvements. Maintain required certifications and pursue continuing education opportunities. Respond to after-hours and weekend emergency service calls as needed. Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment while following company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of hands-on commercial irrigation experience required; 2+ years preferred. Ability to independently troubleshoot controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, wiring, and pipe repairs. Ability to read irrigation plans and identify system issues. Strong understanding of commercial landscape maintenance practices. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment. Excellent troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
