Job Summary Jacobs Farms, LLC is a family-owned agricultural lime supplier that receives, processes, stores, and sells bulk lime to agricultural and commercial customers. The Farm Support is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable day-to-day operation of the farm and lime-handling activities — ensuring consistent material availability, accurate scheduling, clean and organized property conditions, and reliable loading and delivery processes, in addition to maintaining the farm property. Key Responsibilities Administer the receiving, processing, storage, and outbound handling of agricultural lime and related materials; maintain accurate inventory levels and material integrity; and manage yard flow, staging areas, and load-out operations to keep the farm ready for on-demand and scheduled loading. Coordinate loading activities with drivers, haulers, and internal stakeholders, communicating proactively on inventory levels, delivery constraints, weather impacts, or operational risks, and maintaining readiness for flexible, time-sensitive requirements. Safely operate and perform routine maintenance on farm equipment, heavy machinery, and vehicles; maintain all farm property, roadways, storage areas, and work zones in clean, organized, professional condition. Support site readiness and coordination for construction of the new manufacturing facility, ensuring safe separation between active operations and construction zones. Apply all farm safety rules, equipment standards, and best practices, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism across the farm team and site visitors. Maintain accurate records related to inventory levels, deliveries, equipment usage, maintenance, and safety incidents. Required Skills & responsibilities Experience managing farms, yards, aggregate, quarry, or industrial outdoor operations, with working knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic mechanical principles. Strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and operational discipline; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on varying days of the week as needed. Experience with bulk materials (lime, aggregate, fertilizer, or similar) and supporting excavation, processing, or site development activities is a plus. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Two or more years of related experience preferred. Must be 23+ years of age. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8-10 hour shifts). Lift up to 50 lbs.; hand-eye coordination for tools, parts, and machinery. Work in a non-climate-controlled facility exposed to seasonal heat and cold, as well as noise and dust. Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes/boots. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring fitness for duty at all times, subject to drug and alcohol testing per company policy.
