On the job training with no prior experience necessary. We are seeking a motivated Weed Control Technician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in weed and fertilizer applications. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills under the supervision of experienced technicians with the opportunity to lead their own vehicle and application systems. Compensation is based on commissions on applications of services. You can expect to initially make $36,000 to $40,000. Our current, experienced Weed Control Technicians average significantly higher based on their efficient performance. Assist with and lead the application of weed and fertilizer sprays of customer's lawns. Use hand tools and low voltage equipment to perform tasks safely and efficiently. Read and interpret safety data sheets in connection with safe, careful mixing of chemicals. Drive company vehicle loaded with materials along route with extreme care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Present yourself daily with a clean, professional appearance with professional customer communications. Bi-lingual is a plus. Familiarity with hand tools and safe operation of the same. Ability to read safety data sheets accurately. Physical ability to be effectively outdoors in all weather conditions, temperatures, and seasons. Physical ability to manage tasks and communications on a mobile phone. Physical and legal ability to drive company vehicle. Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Physical ability to frequently lift, carry, and pull 50 pounds of weight (whether bags or hoses) throughout the day. Valid driver's license. Pass background check including driver history. Be eligible to work in the United States. Work 40+ hours a week Monday to Friday, occasionally Saturday. Full-time 100% health insurance premium paid by company for individual employee Safety equipment provided Company-vehicle provided. In person and along designated route.
