A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a responsible, qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Poultry Specialist. This job will be responsible and accountable for supervising all aspects of contract farms.
Job Description:
Supervising all aspects of contract farms Resolving contract grower conflicts Bio-security, strain security, animal welfare and health & safety are major responsibilities Assisting with placements, vaccinations, and disinfection May perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor
Job Qualifications:
BS in Poultry Science or related field (preferred) Basic computer skills Ability to calculate feed, manage and weigh birds, prioritize work schedules, solve problems relating to growth, performance, etc Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends - on call 24 hours a day Must be self-motivated with ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Team oriented Current driver's license Two years of poultry experience preferred We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
