Fox Chase Farm is seeking a reliable and experienced Daily Livestock Farmer to support weekday animal care and farm operations. This hands-on role focuses on the daily feeding, monitoring, and maintenance of livestock, along with general farm upkeep during the school week. The ideal candidate will be dependable, proactive, and comfortable working independently in an outdoor agricultural environment while supporting the broader mission of agricultural education within the School District of Philadelphia.Key Responsibilities:
Feed and care for livestock including cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and donkeys Monitor animal health and report any concerns Maintain clean, safe, and organized animal housing areas Operate basic farm equipment (e.g., tractors, power tools, mowers) Support general groundskeeping and seasonal tasks as needed Assist with greenhouse or farm education projects as availableIdeal Candidate:
Has direct experience handling and caring for large animals Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions Familiar with basic farm operations, hand tools, and power equipment Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of equine care or greenhouse management is a plusRequirements:
