We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy equipment to support farm operations, land preparation, and infrastructure projects. This position requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and hands-on experience with excavators, bulldozers (dozers), tractors, and other agricultural or construction equipment.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators, bulldozers, tractors, loaders, and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as planting, preparing fields, grading, and hauling.
- Transport equipment and materials to various work sites using CDL-licensed vehicles.
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Follow safety protocols and site regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Collaborate with farm management to prioritize daily tasks and adapt to changing work conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment use, maintenance logs, and fuel usage.
- Support general farm labor as needed during peak seasons (planting, harvesting, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators and bulldozers.
- Familiarity with agricultural landscapes and practices preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
Work Conditions:
- Work is performed primarily outdoors in rural/agricultural settings.
- May require extended hours during peak farming seasons.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors typical of agricultural and construction sites.
