Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Plant Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and gardening, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves various tasks related to the care and maintenance of plants in our nursery, ensuring that they thrive in a healthy environment. If you enjoy outdoor work and have an interest in horticulture, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities Assist in the daily operations of the nursery, including planting, watering, and maintaining plant health. Irrigate plants effectively to ensure optimal growth conditions. Utilize hand tools for planting, pruning, and general maintenance tasks. Participate in landscape projects as needed, helping to create beautiful outdoor spaces. Work within the greenhouse environment to monitor plant growth and health. Perform heavy lifting as required for moving plants and materials throughout the nursery. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote a safe working environment. Help with inventory management by tracking plant stock levels and reporting any issues. Requirements Experience or knowledge in gardening or farming is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with greenhouse operations and plant care techniques is a plus. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance is beneficial. Willingness to engage in outdoor work regardless of weather conditions. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
