Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Ranch Hand to join our Quarter Horse ranch. In this vital role, your biggest responsibility will be maintaining the daily operations of the ranch while ensuring the health and safety of livestock. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on environment, utilizing your skills in animal care, equipment operation, and ranch maintenance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and passionate about agriculture and livestock management. Duties Arrive at 8am and complete daily tasks by 11:30am Perform livestock handling and animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring to ensure optimal animal well-being Keep feeds stocked and organized Oversee manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of supplies, feed bags, equipment parts, and livestock materials while adhering to safety standards in production Help with any ranch maintenance on the property that is delegated by the ranch manager Qualifications Proven experience in farming or ranching environments Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including horse handling and care for various farm animals such as horses or cattle Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks Familiarity with safety standards related to agricultural production and equipment operation Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment Join us if you're ready to embrace an active role that combines hands-on ranch work with technical skills!
