We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system including the lake re-circulation system and water features. Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads. Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools in order to minimize down time. Maintains working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements. Operates, maintains and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, computer and irrigation control wire. Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Superintendent and maintains a daily log of completed repairs. Prioritizes irrigation breaks and uses time efficiently. Conducts monthly checks of all sprinkler heads on the entire golf facility. Routinely inspects irrigation system components to ensure system is operating properly. Responsible for winterization and blowout of irrigation system, including all water lines, valves and pump stations. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required. Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience. Regularly stands and walks. Occasionally sits, climbs or balances, tastes or smells. Regularly uses hands; reaches with hands or arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls; talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds. Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and faces risk of electrical shock. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals; fumes or airborne particles. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally works in extreme cold or heat (non-weather). Valid Driver's License. Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
