Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Experienced Residential Commercial Weed-Eating / String Trimmer Technician! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining pristine outdoor spaces by expertly operating weed-eaters, string trimmers, and other landscaping tools to control overgrowth and enhance curb appeal. Your mechanical knowledge, safety awareness, and customer service skills will drive your success as you deliver top-quality outdoor maintenance for residential and commercial properties. Duties Operate weed-eaters, string trimmers, hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery safely and efficiently to clear weeds and overgrowth in various outdoor settings Perform routine maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance Follow safety protocols including ladder safety procedures, respiratory protection use, confined space entry safety procedures, and chemical handling guidelines Apply pesticides and chemical agents responsibly in accordance with pesticide management and integrated pest management (IPM) practices Conduct pest control chemical handling and application with precision while adhering to pesticide application knowledge standards Assist with outdoor lawn care, landscaping projects, farming tasks, or land management activities as needed Operate company vehicles safely for transportation between job sites while maintaining compliance with driving regulations Engage with clients professionally to address questions or concerns related to pest control or landscaping services Requirements Proven experience operating lawn care equipment such as weed-eaters, string trimmers, hand tools, power tools, farm machinery or similar outdoor equipment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues on-site Familiarity with pesticide management, chemical agent handling, pest control procedures, and pesticide application knowledge Knowledge of safety protocols including ladder use, ladder safety procedures, respiratory protection requirements, confined space entry safety procedures and chemical handling safety measures Customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or team members Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for operating company vehicles Experience in farming, landscaping, agriculture or land management is highly desirable Basic understanding of entomology (insect science) related to pest control practices Join us if you're passionate about outdoor work and eager to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment!
