Job Summary:

As an integral member of the ranch and facilities team, the Ranch Equipment & Field Technician at Bar Cross Ranch holds a key role in making sure operations run and run smoothly. This person must possess diverse knowledge of a working ranch with strong equipment maintenance/operation and irrigation skills. Teamwork and execution of responsibilities are of the utmost importance. Additionally, the individual must be able to think on their feet, provide input to the process, and make adjustments as needed. Work ethic and a high level of integrity go hand-in-hand with safety, collaboration, and a professional approach to the position.

• Consistent, Daily, Above and Beyond Communication and Record Management with Ranch Manager, Operations Team, and Owner on all aspects of the Ranch
• Attend, study, and train on areas of responsibility as directed to improve knowledge and share ranch operation best practices continuously
• Assist and serve the ranch team, owner, guests and community
• Repair and Maintenance of Ranch facilities; including fences, corals, irrigation infrastructure, assigned equipment, and housing/landscaping
• Agriculture equipment and vehicle maintenance maintained in a safe and clean operating manner
• Water stewardship, including irrigation and livestock watering facilities
• Execute all duties in an efficient and effective fiscal and operational manner
• Excellent time management in group and independent tasks

Qualifications:

• Technical Degree or Certificate in Equipment Maintenance preferred
• 5•7 Years of experience maintaining and repairing agricultural, vehicle, and irrigation equipment, including Mechanical, Diesel, and Hydraulics•Computer, mobile device, and equipment technology experience•Available on-site on a regular schedule and during special flex periods to include nights, weekends, and holidays•Requires physically demanding activities including, hiking, lifting, climbing, and carrying heavy equipment up to 100 pounds while working in extreme weather conditions and remote areas•Driver's License Bar Cross Ranch is a supportive organization that applies the principles of trust, honesty, respect, integrity, and commitment in a collaborative culture based on quality, service, and confidentiality.
