Job Summary/Description We are a small family farm where you will be part of a loyal & caring team. The primary season is April-October. We raise vegetables, fruit & animals that we market locally through farmers markets as well as teach classes on the farm. We are looking for a team member with the ability to grow into the assistant manager role. The job is a variable mix of sometimes physically demanding or detail-oriented farm tasks, customer service & marketing at our markets, supervising other team members, and building/maintenance projects on the farm. It provides good variety & can be very fulfilling as we provide healthy & nutrient dense food for our community. We don't work Sundays with the exception of animal care which the family normally takes care of. The work hours are heavier during the primary season & lighter in the off season. Examples of duties Soil preparation, planting, cultivation/weeding, greenhouse management including trellising & pruning, regular harvesting by hand, post-harvest washing/packaging etc, irrigation management, farmers market help, property maintenance including weed whacking & cleanup, packaging eggs & preparing other specialty products, washing totes, Qualifications/Skills Good attitude & willingness to learn Trustworthy & loyal Self-motivated with a strong sense of pace & urgency Reliable & a team player Good communication & customer service skills Attention to detail Ability to perform strenuous physical labor on a regular basis often in adverse conditions (heat, rain, hail, snow, and mud). All while staying positive!

Pay:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 45.0 per week
