A Farm or Ranch Manager manages operations at a farm or ranch. Directs crop production and management of livestock herds and supervises farm workers who grow and harvest crops or tend to farm animals. Purchases supplies such as seed, fertilizer or animal feed, operates and repairs farm equipment, and maintains facilities. Monitors prices and adapts production as needed due to market changes, weather conditions or other factors.

Job Description

Martin, Goodrich & Waddell has been serving landowners for 50 years. We are looking to add a Farm Manager to our growing business:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\t

Location:

Sycamore, IL or DeWitt, IA (MGW office locations).\r\n\t

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.\r\n\t

Related Experience:

Agricultural background required, and preferably a minimum of 15 years of experience.\r\n\t

Accountabilities:

Oversee farmland properties, track land performance, manage capital improvements, analyze returns, negotiate leases, prepare reports, and communicate closely with clients. Some travel to properties is required; most land is situated in the Midwest.\r\n\t

Required Strengths:

Self-starter/hard working, oral and written communication skills, detail orientation, integrity.\r\n\t
