Full-Time Position Overview Midland Marketing is seeking a dedicated, results-driven Location Manager to lead our Plainville, KS branch. This role oversees daily agronomy and grain operations, manages a team of 9-12 full-time and seasonal employees, and drives operational excellence across a facility handling 1.5 to 2 million bushels in grain volume and approximately $13 million in retail sales. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development:
Supervise, mentor, and schedule 9-12 location employees; foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and high performance.Agronomy Operations:
Oversee the warehousing, of fertilizer, chemicals, and seed. Partner with our sales staff and custom application team to ensure timely service and accurate inventory management.Grain Operations:
Manage grain receiving, storage, conditioning, drying, and outbound logistics to preserve quality and maximize storage efficiency.Customer Relations & Sales Growth:
Build and maintain strong relationships with area growers, addressing customer needs and supporting the retail sales of the company.Facility & Asset Management:
Maintain location equipment and physical plant; coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements.Safety & Compliance:
Enforce all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety standards, ensuring regular safety meetings, hazard assessments, and regulatory compliance.Financial Management:
Assist in annual budgeting, monitor location expenses, manage inventory levels, and control operational costs. Qualifications- Proven experience in agricultural operations, grain handling, or agronomy retail.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Solid understanding of grain conditioning, storage mechanics, and agronomy inputs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license (CDL or ability to obtain is a plus).
- Proficiency with standard agricultural business software and office applications. Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
