Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to oversee daily operations on a progressive farm in Southeast Kansas. This role is responsible for managing crop production, supervising staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring efficient and profitable farm operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and knowledgeable in modern farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and execute all phases of row crop production, including land preparation, planting, fertilizing, pest control, and harvest Manage production of row crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat and other specialty crops Operate and oversee maintenance and repairs of all farm machinery and equipment Monitor crop health, soil conditions, and property maintenance Maintain detailed and accurate records related to crop inputs, yields, and operational activities Supervise and train farm employees and seasonal labor Work with agronomists, suppliers, vendors and custom operators to optimize crop performance Utilize precision agriculture technologies to support data driven decision making Assist with budgeting, cost control, and operational planning

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in row crop farming or farm management Strong knowledge of crop production practices, equipment operation, and maintenance Experience with GPS, precision agriculture technology, and farm management software Mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Ability to work extended hours and manage seasonal workload demands Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
