Now Hiring:
Culinary Professional / Manager-in-Training Philbrook Fish & Meat Market — Marblehead, MA ( with seasonal opportunities at other locations, pop-ups, events, catering, and future ventures ) Are you a chef, cook, or food professional ready to take your career in a new direction? We're looking for a passionate, hands-on individual who wants to grow with a small family-owned company that values quality, creativity, and community. This is a multifaceted position within a dynamic operation that includes: A premium fish and meat market offering local seafood, prime meats, and prepared foods A catering and events program featuring coastal New England classics and seasonal specialties Pop-ups, festivals, and special projects that connect us directly with our community Ongoing opportunities to help shape new locations and future concepts as we expand What You'll Do Work side-by-side with ownership and our head butcher/manager to: Oversee daily kitchen production, prep lists, and inventory management Assist with menu development, seasonal product curation, and creative specials Support staff training and operational systems that keep our team running smoothly Lead or assist with pop-ups, events, catering, and community partnerships Help plan and prepare for future expansion, including new locations and ventures Ideal Candidate Has experience as a chef, line cook, butcher, fishmonger, or grocery/retail manager Takes pride in craftsmanship, presentation, and consistency Enjoys a collaborative, hands-on work environment Understands both sides of the food world — the craft and the business Wants to be part of something local, lasting, and growing Why Join Us Work directly with ownership in a leadership-track position Competitive pay based on experience + tips + growth incentives Flexible scheduling and diverse work environments The chance to help build the systems, menus, and culture for our next chapter
