In this role, you will maintain a safe environment for all humans and equines, provide herd care. Your leadership will ensure that all aspects of farm management run smoothly, fostering a productive environment that prioritizes animal welfare, operational excellence, and sustainable practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for equines and making a difference in the lives of others. Hours Sunday-Thursday 8am-4pm Duties Provide daily care of equines to include proper feeding, supplements, medicines, turnout, stall maintenance and barn cleanliness as scheduled Maintain safe, clean paddocks and run in sheds Train and supervise barn/facility volunteers Safely operate all farm equipment Oversee facility workgroups as schedule Covering the barn for UpReach holidays as scheduled Daily assessment of health existing herd as scheduled for barn Transport and properly store, hay, bedding and other equine related supplies Schedule routine care of equines to include veterinarian, farrier, and chiropractor On-call with Barn/Facility Manager for equine related emergencies and health issues Ongoing assessment of properly fitting tack and equipment for all equines Receive, log, and properly store equine related donations and coordinate tack sale/consignment Maintain/update all equine records Submit payment vouchers in accordance with policy & procedure Complete monthly supply inventory and communicate needs to Program Operations Manager Interact with equine clubs and organizations to spread awareness of equine needs and recruit equine related resources This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
