Barn Manager

Job Description

Barn Manager Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barn Manager to oversee daily operations at our active Horse Boarding and Riding Academy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the care and maintenance of horses, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment. This role requires strong outdoor work experience, farm management skills, and a solid understanding of equine care. The Barn Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of all animals while managing staff, equipment, and facility operations. Duties Oversee daily care and management of horses, including feeding, grooming, health monitoring, and general welfare. Coordinate and supervise farm staff to ensure proper animal care and facility maintenance. Operate agricultural tractors and related equipment safely for tasks such as feeding, mucking stalls, haying, or fencing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barn, stables, pastures, and surrounding areas to promote safety and animal health. Monitor the health of horses regularly and coordinate veterinary care when necessary. Manage inventory of feed, supplies, and equipment to ensure smooth daily operations. Implement safety protocols for staff and visitors to prevent accidents or injuries during outdoor work activities. Assist with pasture management and other outdoor maintenance tasks as needed. Horse care including stall cleaning, feeding, and managing supplements Qualifications Strong equine experience including handling, feeding, grooming, and health care of horses. Ability to operate agricultural tractors and related machinery safely and effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills for coordinating with staff and clients. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. A proactive approach to safety procedures and animal welfare standards. Pay:
$100.00 - $200.00 per day
