Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a progressive dairy operation in Texas who is seeking a hands-on Dairy Manager to help lead and develop a rapidly growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dairy professional who wants to take on greater responsibility and play an important role in building the dairy as it expands. The Dairy Manager will oversee day-to-day herd management with a strong emphasis on reproduction, herd health, milk quality, calves and youngstock, and employee management. Responsibilities include overseeing breeding and reproductive performance, vaccinations and treatment protocols, maintaining accurate DairyComp records, and working closely with the veterinarian and other consultants. This individual will play an important role in developing the heifer and calf programs, including breeding and calving schedules, colostrum and newborn care, feeding, sanitation, and calf health. The Manager will also supervise, train, and develop employees while helping build a strong team as cow numbers and staffing increase. Additional responsibilities include monitoring milk quality, somatic cell count, production, and other key herd performance indicators. This is a hands-on position requiring someone comfortable working directly with cattle and employees while also managing records and making sound day-to-day decisions. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, adaptable leader who enjoys building and improving an operation. 5+ years of progressive dairy experience Previous management or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of herd health, reproduction, breeding, and milk quality Hands-on AI breeding experience with cows and heifers Strong calf and youngstock management experience Experience supervising, training, and developing dairy employees Experience with DairyComp or similar dairy management software Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Organic dairy experience helpful but not required Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Hands-on, self-motivated leader who takes ownership and works well in a growing operation Why is This a
