This is a physically active position that involves lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, cleaning, setup, and breakdownthroughout the shift. Overview Heritage Farmers Market is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and positive Farmers Market Site Attendant to join our Saturday team in Rancho Cucamonga. This is a hands-on position that helps keep our farmers market clean, organized, and welcoming from setup through closing. The Site Attendant is responsible for setting up and breaking down Heritage's common areas, maintaining tables and seating areas, monitoring restrooms, removing trash, and helping keep the market grounds looking their best throughout the day. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs attention, and doesn't need to be reminded to jump in and get things done. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with setup and breakdown of the farmers market each Saturday Set up and take down Heritage canopies, tables, chairs, and eating areas Transport market equipment and supplies between onsite storage and the market area Keep tables, chairs, and community eating areas clean and organized throughout the day Wipe and sanitize tables as needed Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the market Monitor the market grounds and pick up trash or debris as needed Check restrooms regularly to ensure they remain clean, stocked, and ready for customers Notify the Market Manager of restroom, maintenance, safety, or site concerns Keep walkways and common areas clean and presentable Return equipment to storage and help organize supplies after the market Assist the market team with other reasonable site needs during the day Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position that requires regular lifting and movement throughout the shift.
Applicants must be able to:
Safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull market equipment and supplies Move and assist with setup of canopies, folding tables, chairs, trash receptacles, and other market equipment Push or pull loaded carts between the market's onsite storage area and market grounds Bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive physical tasks during setup and breakdown Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Experience & Qualifications Previous experience in event setup, custodial work, facilities, hospitality, farmers markets, or similar hands-on work is helpful, but not required . We're willing to train the right person.
The ideal candidate is:
Must be 18+ years of age High school diploma or equivalent required 2- 4 years of previous work experience required Dependable, punctual, and consistently available on Saturdays Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Able to perform physical work throughout the shift Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods Able to safely lift, carry, push, and move market equipment and supplies Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Detail-oriented and attentive to cleanliness Friendly and professional around customers, vendors, and fellow team members Able to follow directions and communicate with the Market Manager Able to reliably get to and from the Rancho Cucamonga market each Saturday Required Availability Every Saturday Our Rancho Cucamonga Farmers Market is open from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM . This position begins before the market opens for setup and continues after closing for breakdown. Consistent Saturday availability is an important part of this position.
