About Urban Oasis Project Urban Oasis Project is a Miami nonprofit that has run farmers markets in Miami-Dade County for 16 years. We buy produce from more than 20 small Florida farms every week, and we sell it at our markets and through an online farmers market with delivery across Miami-Dade. The role Farmers Market Staff run the Urban Oasis Project produce stand at our weekend markets, the Legion Park Farmers Market on Saturdays and the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market on Sundays. Shifts include load-in before the market opens and load-out after it closes, therefore some shifts run longer than market hours. Schedule 8 to 16 hours per week on Saturdays, Sundays, or both. Responsibilities Set up and break down the tent, tables, and produce displays Keep displays stocked, fresh, and priced Help customers choose produce and answer questions about local crops Process sales, including SNAP/EBT and Fresh Access Bucks, which double SNAP dollars at our markets Keep the stand clean and follow food safety practices Requirements Available on Saturdays, Sundays, or both Friendly with customers, and comfortable working outdoors in Miami weather Able to lift up to 50 pounds Customer service, cash handling, or retail experience is a plus
