Pay Rate:
$ 15-$18/hr commensurate with experience The Town of Yarmouth is searching for a Deputy Shellfish Constable to join our Natural Resources team. Works under the supervision of the Natural Resources Director or their designee, Part-time Deputy Shellfish Constables assist with general and technical work relating to aquaculture, shellfish bed patrol, propagation of shellfish, protection of the shellfishery and other duties as assigned. This is a part time year-round position with varying shifts and schedules. Work is primarily performed outdoors on beaches, boats, docks, and town ways to water.
Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Knowledge and experience in the field of shellfish propagation and management desirable. Knowledge of operation and trailering small boats preferred. Sound decision making and problem-solving skills. Ability to enforce rules and regulations impartially. Basic computer and office administrative skills.
Requirements:
Valid MA Drivers License CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
