Jobs › South Yarmouth, MA › Patient Services & DME Sales Coord… Independence HomeHealthware Patient Services & DME Sales Coordinator South Yarmouth, MA Apply Independence HomeHealthWares is looking for an outgoing, compassionate, and organized Patient Services & DME Sales Coordinator to join our South Yarmouth team. This is a customer-facing position that combines healthcare intake, retail sales, patient service, and communication with physician offices and other referral sources. The ideal candidate may have experience working in a doctor?s office, medical practice, pharmacy, durable medical equipment company, or healthcare customer-service setting Responsibilities Welcome and assist walk-in customers in our durable medical equipment retail store Help customers identify products that meet their individual needs Explain product features, options, pricing, and basic insurance requirements Answer incoming calls and provide knowledgeable, compassionate assistance Complete telephone, patient, and order intake Collect prescriptions, demographics, insurance information, medical documentation, and other required information Enter and maintain accurate patient and order information in the company?s computer system Communicate with physician offices, healthcare providers, case managers, and referral sources Follow up on missing prescriptions, medical documentation, and pending orders Process retail transactions and collect patient payments Assist with product displays, merchandising, and maintaining an organized retail environment Educate patients and caregivers on the proper use of medical equipment and supplies Build positive relationships with local healthcare offices and community partners Support sales goals by identifying opportunities to better serve patients and referral sources Work collaboratively with the billing, intake, operations, and clinical teams Follow HIPAA, company policies, and applicable healthcare requirements Qualifications Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, medical retail environment, pharmacy, or customer-service position is strongly preferred Durable medical equipment experience is helpful but not required Strong customer-service and sales skills Comfortable working with patients who may be elderly, recovering from surgery, managing a disability, or experiencing a significant health issue Professional and confident communication skills, both in person and over the phone Ability to communicate effectively with physician offices and other healthcare professionals Strong computer and data-entry skills Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple patients, calls, orders, and priorities Dependable, organized, and willing to take initiative Comfortable discussing payment responsibilities and collecting payments Willingness to learn durable medical equipment, insurance requirements, and company procedures Active Filters Patient Services & DME Sales Coo...
