Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures across diverse specialties like dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and surgical settings Support medication administration and basic life support (BLS) protocols when needed to ensure patient safety Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately for documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and medical records management Conduct diagnostic tasks such as X-ray imaging or assisting with in-room procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings Prepare exam rooms and assist with clinical procedures in emergency medicine environments or Level I/II trauma centers Manage medical administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient education, insurance documentation, and coordinating referrals Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care principles across various specialties including hospital medicine and outpatient clinics Experience working in hospital environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly valued Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate billing and recordkeeping Ability to perform vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required Knowledge of dermatology procedures, inpatient care protocols, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room) experience, and geriatrics is preferred Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including those in emergency medicine or medical-surgical units Familiarity with X-ray operations or assisting in radiology procedures enhances your versatility within the clinical team Join us to be part of a passionate healthcare environment where your skills are valued and your growth is supported.
