Job Description
Parks Assistant - Marina Clay County, Missouri Join our Parks and Recreation team and spend your workdays on the water! We are looking for a dedicated Parks Assistant to oversee daily operations at our full-service marina. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who enjoys customer service, hands-on maintenance, and the unique environment of a lakefront park. What You ll Do As the Parks Assistant - Marina, you will work independently under general oversight to ensure the marina is running smoothly and safely.
Your primary duties will include:
Customer & Marina Services:
Manage slip rentals, process retail and fuel sales, and provide water safety equipment to the public.Operational Leadership:
Assist in supervising seasonal staff, providing training on boat rentals, safety regulations, and the care of live bait tanks.Facility Maintenance:
Maintain docks and walkways (including trash, spider web, and snow/ice removal) and ensure fueling systems are in top condition.Financial Oversight:
Manage daily cash controls, revenue monitoring, and bank deposits.Public Safety:
Serve as an on-call contact for emergencies and report any unusual occurrences or accidents within 24 hours. What We reLooking For Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.Experience:
Previous marina-related experience is highly preferred.Technical Skills:
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and record-keeping.Licensing:
Must possess a valid driver s license; a Missouri Boater Registration Card is strongly desired.Physical Ability:
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and able to lift/carry up to 80 pounds .Expertise:
