Job Description Our client, a leading global market maker and proprietary trading firm, is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Pantry Assistant to support daily operations within their Midtown Manhattan office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, maintaining organization, and contributing to a polished workplace environment. This role is hands-on and requires standing for the majority of the shift, frequent movement throughout the office, and the ability to lift and transport heavier items such as cases of water, large deliveries, and supply boxes.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (can vary) 30 hours per week On-site in Midtown Manhattan Compensation $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Pantry & Cafeteria Operations Wash dishes and run dishwashers throughout the day Perform dish runs by collecting plates, bowls, cups, and utensils from around the office Restock plates, silverware, glasses, and pantry supplies Wipe down tables, counters, and cafeteria surfaces Swiffer, mop, and vacuum cafeteria and lounge areas Ensure coffee stations are stocked, clean, and functioning properly Empty coffee machine trays and replenish supplies as needed Food & Beverage Restocking Stock snacks, beverages, and alcoholic beverages using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices Ensure beer and wine refrigerators are stocked for evening use Restock lounges and common areas with refreshments Put away deliveries and transfer supplies throughout the office Move and organize cases of water and large boxes as needed Office Support Check conference rooms and straighten spaces as needed Remove leftover food, glasses, and trash from meeting rooms Perform routine checks of internal bathrooms and replenish paper towels, soap, and toilet paper Clear garbage and maintain cleanliness in common areas Assist with leftover food pickup services and other ad hoc requests Support general office hospitality and ensure a high standard of presentation
Required Qualifications:
Previous hospitality, pantry, kitchen, janitorial, porter, or office services experience preferred Ability to remain on your feet for most of the shift Comfortable lifting and moving moderately heavy items such as packages, cases of water, and supply boxes Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Dependable with excellent time management Professional demeanor and appearance Comfortable working independently and maintaining productivity throughout the day Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Enjoys cleaning, organizing, and keeping spaces well maintained Takes pride in providing exceptional workplace hospitality Is friendly and approachable, while prioritizing responsibilities over socializing Maintains a professional presence and minimizes distractions during work hours Likes staying active and working in a fast-paced environment Can multitask effectively—for example, stocking supplies while dishwashers are running Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and strong attention to detail If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
