Farm Manager - Property, Hunting & Guest Operations Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day care and operation of a private recreational farm. This is a unique position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, maintaining property, and helping create an enjoyable experience for family members, customers, and guests. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, mechanically inclined, personable, and comfortable handling a wide variety of responsibilities. This position requires someone who takes pride in keeping a property well maintained. Key Responsibilities Farm & Equipment Operations Safely operate farm and heavy equipment, including tractors, front-end loaders, planting discs, backhoes, side cutters, and similar equipment. Perform routine property maintenance, mowing, cutting, clearing, and general land upkeep. Help identify equipment or property maintenance needs and coordinate or perform minor repairs when appropriate. Maintain the farm, cabin, annex, grounds, and surrounding areas in a clean, safe, and presentable condition. Property Maintenance Perform general handyman-type maintenance and minor repairs to farm buildings, the cabin, annex, and other structures. Mow and maintain grass around the cabin, annex, and other designated areas. Inspect and maintain deer stands, including keeping them clean, safe, and free of wasps and other insects. Monitor the property and proactively address maintenance or safety concerns. Hunting & Fishing Assist with the management of hunting activities for family members, customers, and guests. Help ensure that established hunting and property rules are followed. Maintain deer stands and hunting areas in safe and usable condition. Assist with projects designed to improve fishing, including adding structure, fertilizing ponds, applying lime, and other pond-management activities. Help prepare hunting and fishing areas before guests arrive. Guest & Customer Hospitality Meet, assist, and interact professionally with customers and guests visiting the farm for hunting, fishing, meals, and other activities. Help provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests. Prepare meals for groups of approximately 20 people, primarily grilling meats and preparing items such as salads, baked potatoes, and similar meals. Assist with setup, cooking, serving, and cleanup for farm gatherings and special events. Additional Responsibilities Assist with company cookouts and similar activities at the plant when needed. Purchase or coordinate supplies needed for farm activities, meals, maintenance, hunting, and fishing. Perform other farm, property, and hospitality-related duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience operating tractors and farm or heavy equipment. Experience with front-end loaders, backhoes, planting discs, side cutters, or similar equipment preferred. General handyman, mechanical, maintenance, or construction skills. Comfortable working independently and managing daily priorities with limited supervision. Knowledge of hunting, fishing, farming, land management, or outdoor recreation is highly desirable. Comfortable preparing and cooking meals for groups. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, executives, family members, and guests. Dependable, trustworthy, organized, and willing to take ownership of the property. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
