•This is a continuous recruitment position

SUMMARY:

Washes and organizes service ware, pots, pans, and utensils; and assists in general clean up, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen, serving areas, and dining rooms.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT

This position requires long periods of standing and walking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs., in conditions that are often, hot, humid, or cold. Must be able to safely use and operate typical kitchen tools and equipment. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, on occasion.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills Strong verbal communication and listening skills Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Demonstrated customer service skills Demonstrates a high commitment to quality Excellent collaboration and team building skills Knowledge of safe ware-washing and chemical handling techniques

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

: H.S. Diploma or GED required or in the process of pursuing a high school diploma or GED which must be obtained within 2 years of date of hire, required Less than 2 years prior custodial experience, preferred

WORK HOURS

Part-time, non-exempt position Schedule will vary; rotating weekends This position is designated as essential personnel and, during inclement weather and emergency situations is required to be available to the University as needed.

SALARY STRUCTURE

Pay Grade 1 (Rate Starting at $16.20 per hour)
