Job Description

Position Summary:
The Front of House Associate is the face of the Riverview Terrace Cafe, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring the cleanliness of the dining area.
Essential Functions:
Work assigned shifts in the Riverview Terrace Cafe. Shifts will be variable and include weekends and holidays; Conduct the daily front of house operations of the cafe and cash handling needs; Take orders and serve food and beverages to cafe guests; Maintain a clean and welcoming dining room space, and provide excellent customer service; Demonstrate menu knowledge, ingredient, and partnership familiarity when answering guest questions; Maintain knowledge of Taliesin Preservation tour operations and public access programs for response to guest inquiries; Help set up/clean up and perform side work for cafe service, programs, and events; Adhere to health department regulations; and Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to perform in a high-visibility, customer service position; Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain flexibility, and balance changing priorities while maintaining established standards Bartending license or ability to obtain; Strong communication skills; and Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous restaurant experience; Previous barista experience;
