The Sanitation & Quality Assurance Operator is responsible for helping maintain a clean, food-safe manufacturing environment while monitoring product quality throughout the production process.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Sanitizing production equipment, workstations, and facility areas according to established cleaning procedures.
- Inspecting raw materials, products in production, and finished goods to verify quality expectations are met.
- Completing required production, sanitation, and inspection records accurately
- Mixing, testing, and using cleaning solutions safely while following chemical handling procedures.
- Observing production activities to help ensure compliance with food safety programs and company quality standards.
- Notifying leadership of quality concerns, equipment issues, or conditions that could impact food safety.
- Supporting production operations during busy periods and assisting with general manufacturing tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, sanitation, quality control, or a similar production environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality or sanitation concerns
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with exposure to moisture, temperature changes, cleaning chemicals, food odors, and moving machinery
