Job Description

Position Summary:
The Produce QC team member will assist in maintaining the highest quality produce, consistent with the longstanding reputation of Chefs Warehouse. We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated experience with fresh produce and a strong background in quality control in the food industry. What you'll do: Make informed decisions about produce quality, with consideration for customer experience and shrink % Maintain accurate inventory by conducting daily inventory counts, as well as making accurate and timely inventory adjustments Cull/rework cases in an effort to reduce shrink Communicate effectively with operations, sales, and buying teams Produce reports to share interdepartmentally About you: 2-4 years experience with food, especially fresh produce 1-2 years warehouse experience Familiarity with food safety protocols Literacy in basic technology, including inventory management systems, Excel spreadsheets, etc. Efficient, with attention to detail Willing to work in temperatures between 37-52 degrees Able to lift 50lbs Outstanding team player #LI-TC1
