Nursery Worker (Must be Able to Operate Front Loader) Palm City, FL 34990 $18

- Full-time Local nursery is seeking an individual who has nursery experience to fulfill our yard guy position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a front loader and other nursery equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks with plants, palms, trees, sod, rock, mulch, and other landscape materials.
- Use tree straps and a tree boom to safely move and handle large B&B palms and trees.
- Wrap, secure, and prepare plants, palms, trees, mulch, sand, soil, rocks and other landscaping materials for transport.
- Help customers load landscaping products onto their vehicles.
- Ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bag decorative rock, gravel, mulch, and other landscape materials.
- Prepare and fill super sacks of rock and bulk materials.
- Receive and organize inventory.
- Keep the nursery yard clean, organized, and safe at all times. Organize mulch area.
- Assist with general yard maintenance and daily operations.
- Ability to clearly communicate daily with office regarding materials that need to be loaded as well as ordered.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a nursery, landscape supply yard, or landscaping company preferred.
- Experience operating a loader is required.
- Knowledge of handling large trees and palms using a tree strap and tree boom.
- Experience unloading trucks and safely securing loads.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in the Florida heat and all weather conditions.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
