LAND STEWARDSHIP TECHNICIAN
Land Stewardship Technician
Sun Valley Resort
This position supports invasive species management, ecological restoration, and land stewardship initiatives across the resort.
Responsibilities include identifying and mapping invasive species, implementing treatment and removal strategies, and supporting restoration efforts that promote healthy native plant communities. The role monitors treatment and restoration areas, documents ecological changes, and maintains accurate records of activities, findings, and results. Additional responsibilities include the safe and effective application of herbicides and pesticides, equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and adherence to applicable safety and environmental standards.
The position collaborates with city, county, state, and federal programs on invasive species and restoration initiatives and responds professionally to public inquiries related to noxious weed management. The role also provides exceptional customer service and assists the grounds team with routine maintenance and resort-wide upkeep. This position requires strong attention to detail, environmental awareness, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
