This is an active position with a significant amount of physical work, including landscaping, cleaning, property upkeep, and minor maintenance. We operate a highly automated, cashless facility , so there are relatively few in-person rentals and customer transactions. The primary responsibilities are maintaining the property, handling collections, and overseeing day-to-day operations. We need someone who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it without waiting to be told. Responsibilities Landscaping, weed removal, trash/debris cleanup and general grounds maintenance Sweep, blow, power wash and clean the property and vacant units Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs Regularly inspect the property and perform lock checks Keep the office, restroom and facility clean and well maintained Make collection calls and follow up on delinquent accounts Process liens and coordinate storage auctions Handle basic facility operations, records and occasional customer needs Show and rent units as needed What We're Looking For Self-motivated, dependable and able to work independently Comfortable with physical work and working outdoors Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable performing landscaping and using basic tools/equipment Persistent and professional with collections Comfortable with computers and smartphones Property maintenance, landscaping, handyman, construction, collections or similar experience preferred Valid driver's license required Must live within approximately 15 minutes of the Berkeley/Federal area Hours Approximately 15-20 hours per week . One day per week will have set on-site hours, with flexibility in scheduling the remaining hours. Regular on-site presence throughout the week is required to inspect, maintain, and care for the property. Additional hours may occasionally be needed around the first of the month or for property needs. Bonus opportunities based on collections and occupancy.
