The Riviera Country Club is interested in a Cup Cutter who is candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, enjoys working outdoors, and takes pride in maintaining high standards on the golf course. Early morning availability is required. Basically, if the greens look beautiful before sunrise… this role probably had something to do with it. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Change golf hole locations on greens according to daily course setup requirements Cut and set cups to proper depth and alignment standards Ensure cups, flags, and tee markers are clean, properly placed, and in excellent condition Repair and maintain putting green surfaces around cup locations Inspect greens daily for turf quality, damage, disease, irrigation issues, or safety concerns and report findings to management Assist with mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, bunker maintenance, and other golf course maintenance duties as assigned Operate hand tools and small maintenance equipment safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment Follow all safety procedures and departmental guidelines Support tournament and special event course setup when needed Work collaboratively with the Golf Maintenance team to maintain high course standards Qualifications Previous golf course or landscaping experience preferred, but not required Basic knowledge of turfgrass maintenance is a plus Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Strong attention to detail and consistency Reliable attendance and punctuality required Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical labor for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to work in outdoor environments including heat, humidity, rain, and varying terrain Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment Work Environment This position primarily works outdoors on the golf course and may be exposed to noise, chemicals, moving equipment, and changing weather conditions. Work schedules typically begin very early in the morning to prepare the course before member play.
