Job Description

TCK (Twin City Knitting) is an American manufacturer born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina. Founded in 1961, TCK began knitting performance athletic socks and quickly established itself as the industry leader for on-field team socks. We have outfitted athletes' feet for generations and have built an unrivaled brand loyalty with our customers. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the knitting operations in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Work directly with plant leadership to develop and execute projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and the resolution of re-occurring problems.
  • Repair knitting machines when mechanical failure occurs.
  • Inspect the quality of socks after the repair of each machine.
  • Validate machine based on setup ticket to produce sock to specification.
  • Routinely performs inspection of knitting machines to determine whether repairs or adjustments are needed.
  • Replace defective needles and other components as needed.
  • Responsible for using safe procedures and always following safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit at least 75% of the time, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to balance, stoop, and bend. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move sample bags up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to work fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment may occasionally be loud.
