ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Basic Qualifications:
Technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, service manuals, specifications, drawings etc. Ability in using tools (Micrometers, installation tools, torque wrenches, power tools, bore gauges) and test equipment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good understanding of quality control procedures Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Responsibilities:
Read and follow instructions and established procedures. Collect all materials and tools needed to complete the procedure. Use precision tools to measure and assist in the machining of the engine block using power, manual tools and precision machining equipment. Recognize the correct orientation of complex components. Ensure that all engine blocks are machined to the correct value. Read and set up bore gauges. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition. Keep records of production measurements, quantities, and time. Report issues, malfunction, or defective components. Maintain a "Tour Ready" work environment. 7.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physically able to perform position requirements Able to stand on cement floors for 8 plus hours Ability to lift block machining components weighing 40 lbs. repeatability. 8.
ENVIRONMENT / EQUIPMENT & MACHINERY
This position is in a manufacturing environment, primary focus on machining blocks. Regular exposure to noise, oil, lubricants, sealants, cleaning chemicals. Equipment and Machinery used within this department is as follows but not limited to the following: Hoists Conveyors Hand Tools Drill machines Hones Boring machines Surfacers Pressurized Air Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
