Work Schedule:

Minimum of 450 hours in a 12-month span (average of about 9 hours per week) Hours are variable and scheduled based on department needs and apprentice availability

Minimum Qualifications:

High school junior or senior

Preferred Qualifications:

1-3 months related experience in a restaurant or dietary capacity

Occupational Competencies:

Apply service and production area safe food handling and sanitation procedures Assist with managing guest safety and security standards Manage service and production area operating procedures Perform counter and/or table service activities Complete (Point of Sale) POS activities Operate foodservice equipment Manage orders Prepare/cook order items Clean service and production areas Perform leadership administrative activities Assist with inventory management Assist with finance management Apply formal dining room service skills

Other Qualifications:

Ability to understand and apply the principles of special diets for patient food delivery. Ability to apply concepts of basic math, knowledge in basic food service equipment operation, safe food handling and sanitation. Working knowledge of portion sizes, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as recipe conversion, weights and measures, discounts, proportions, and volume. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Working knowledge of POS register system for ringing up customers High degree of personal hygiene. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information. Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards. Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently.

Shifts include:

Available 7 days/week between 7am - 7pm Rotating weekends and holidays
